Tobacco Harm Reduction in Asia: An update on regulation

Professor of Hospital Management and Health Economics, Sharifa Ezat Wan Puteh will be covering issues with respect to smoking in Asia and she will focus more on Malaysia and the West Pacific Region (WPRO). She will present & discuss data on the prevalence of tobacco smokers, prevalence of e-cigarette use, and heated tobacco products, burden of disease and current policies to fight the detrimental effects of smoking. What is the penetration of THR policies? Is THR well received? Are there concerns about the health hazards of non-tobacco nicotine containing products? What are these concerns? What is needed to address these concerns.
