9th Summit on Tobacco Harm Reduction - Virtual

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

All abstracts must be submitted online by Tuesday, August 25th, 2026.
Abstracts submitted past that date will not be accepted nor abstracts submitted by e-mail. Authors will be notified on acceptance of their contribution by September 4, 2026.

REGISTRATION

Poster presentations will be accepted if at least one of the authors is registered at the conference.
Note that registration is free of charge for scientists, healthcare professionals, and students.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

The programme of the Summit will include keynote lectures, plenary and panel discussions, as well as poster presentations. 

All approved abstracts will be presented as Poster presentations (5 min). Authors will submit prerecorded videos following communication with the Secretariat. Presenters will participate offline (Videos will be available on the event virtual platform to be accessed on demand. The possibility to submit questions to authors -and answered offline- will be available.)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

  1. All poster presentations must be in English, official language of the Summit. 
  2. A one-page (300 words max.) abstract should be submitted.
  3. The abstract title should be written in capital letters.
  4. In the names of the authors please state first the name and second the surname
  5. State the authors’ affiliation(s) and city-country of origin.
  6. The presenting author’s name should be in bold.
  7. It is recommended that you follow the following structure: Background, Material and Methods, Results, Conclusions

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE POSTER PRESENTATIONS

  1. The duration of each poster presentation shall be 5 minutes.
  2. e-Poster presentations must contain a maximum of 6 slides.
  3. Please designate one presenter; in case of multiple presenters, please note that all presenters should be registered. Please do not combine multiple presenters’ PowerPoint presentations into one file.
  4. The corresponding author will receive a PowerPoint Slide Template to use for the presentation and, optionally, a virtual background image. For instructions on how to enable a Virtual Background, please go to the Zoom website (Support).
  5. Presentations shall be recorded on Zoom by the author and submitted to the Secretariat via a file transfer tool / link.
  6. If you have questions about using audio or video during your presentation, please contact the Secretariat.

The electronic book of abstracts will be available at the Summit website.
